The EYEWITNESS collection embodies the zeitgeist of the Asia I embraced and immersed myself in from towards the end of the 20th century. My fieldwork goes straight to the heart of the human condition. I photographed what I saw, raw and honest; no excuses, no apologies, no self-censorship.  Life as it truly was, where struggle and resistance was only ever a heartbeat away.
