I had travelled to McLeod Ganj or "Little Lhasa', as it is often referred to, home of the Tibetan government-in-exile, in Himachal Pradesh, India in 2005 to photograph the Tibetan activist and poet in exile, Tenzin Tsundue for the New York Times Magazine.
I spent several days there, inside rain clouds which were permanently nestled on the mountain top obscuring any possible view of the surrounding peaks. During one of my frequent ramblings I came across these Tibetan monks engrossed in their debate rituals.
